Feeding the Bass

When I was a kid I used to do a lot of fishing. In a lot of the local stores you could get a lure that looked like a mouse. I knew it was for bass and other larger fish in the lakes around here, but I had never seen any fish actually eat a mouse. Until I found this video of a guy feeding his pet bass a mouse:

C’mon that’s kind of cool. And for your animal cruelty people, lighten up. Animals eat other animals.

Whoa... I had no idea fish ate stuff like mice. I thought their diets pretty much stuck to aquatic-dwelling creatures.

If it falls in the water & is small enough to fit in their mouths, fish will eat damned near anything.

Yes, it's all cool because you said to "lighten up."

How about you do the opposite and realize that, while animals do eat other animals, they don't naturally have someone feeding it to them in a tank.

Animals eating animals in the wild or animals eating animals in captivity... honestly I don't equate a difference. Sure the Bass didn't have to work so hard to get the mouse and the mouse had zero chance of survivability, it's still the natural cycle.

Much more natural then the last time I saw a bear in the wild. It was tearing about someones bear sack that wasn't tied up properly.
