Intricate cake!
I've read a couple of books in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. I thought they were enjoyable, clever and funny. That is if you like sci-fi/fantatsy fiction. The basis of Discworld is that it's a flat disk balanced on the backs of four elephants that stand on the back of a giant turtle. No seriously, it is. The reason I'm telling you this is because if you didn't know it, you wouldn't understand this wedding cake.
They must be huge fans, and the mother that baked it must really love her daughter. WOW!
Posted by Contagion in Things I find interesting at February 9, 2008 09:15 AM | TrackBackI used to make wedding cakes, and I LOVE when one reflects the couple. However...fruitcake? FRUITCAKE for a wedding cake?!? Yick.
I've made chocolate, chocolate with mint, chocolate with raspberry, white, sour cream, added in peaches, or strawberries, hell I even had one completely covered in fresh flowers because that was what the bride wanted.
But fruitcake? That would be one line I would NOT be standing in.....
But the cake itself? Very cool.
